Tactical gunship shooter game
Project Gunship is a premium simulation title for PC from developer Sklorite Studios LLC. It's a tactical military-themed game that has players take control of a heavily armed gunship as they shoot down targets from 12,000 feet. It features multiple modes and offers all kinds of battle scenarios to test their skills and strategy.
Much like World of Tanks or World of Warships, Project Gunship allows players to experience what it's like to operate war machines. Compared to the latter two which cover land and sea, it takes to the skies for its immersive and realistic battles.
Rain down hell
The Lockheed AC-130 is an infamous military gunship made for wartime. It has been used for stealth reconnaissance and bombing operations in historic wars since the late 1960s. In comes Project Gunship, a simulator that basically lets you experience piloting this iconic ship and conduct various missions yourself, with its specialized ground-attack capabilities and a wide assortment of heavy artillery at your disposal.
The game will let you control two variants of this ship, namely the titular "Project Gunship" and the more recent "Ghostrider" model. There are multiple modes available, as well as various unique battle scenarios to take on. Depending on the situation, you can utilize a combination of cannons and miniguns to bombard targets, or air-to-ground missiles for high-profile precision eliminations.
What's more, the game utilizes an advanced and dynamic AI system for your missions. As a result, scenarios play out a bit differently each time, forcing you to reassess your strategies, which adds a fair bit of challenge and replayability to the gameplay. Do keep in mind that it's still in Early Access, so development is actively ongoing and there are more changes to come in future updates.
Immersive and engaging
While controlling one of the most iconic gunships in history is compelling in itself, the idea of shooting down a target from thousands of feet up in the sky is a pretty compelling and fun proposition. If you're of the same mind, Project Gunship is definitely worth checking out. Hopefully, development remains steady and the full game comes out sooner rather than later.
